We interviewed some participants who joined the 2013 Dhammachai Dhutanga about our activity. They are very happy with it.
Magha Puja Day is one of the most important Buddhist holy days in Thailand. Each of the 30,000 Buddhist temples across the nation holds its own ceremony to mark the occasion. The ceremony at Wat Phra Dhammakaya is one of the largest held in Thailand.
“Khun Yai” Chand Khonnokyoong, the fifth of nine children, was born to a middle class farming family in Nakhon Chaisri sub-district of Nakhon Pathom.

The longest journey walking on flower petals is 453.0 km (281.48 miles) and was achieved by 1,129 Buddhist monks, who walked across Thailand on the 3rd Dhammachai Dhutanga pilgrimage to welcome the year 2014 in Thailand, between 2 and 28 January 2014.
